MORNING GLORIES

Joulie wakes every morning with tail wagging and the energy worthy of a thousand volts. She is instantly “on,” depending upon my mood it can also be seen as absolutely relentless. Could you imagine waking up with that level of joy every morning!?

This morning is crisp and windy. A typical fall day in New England. Joulie has managed to bark at tons of falling leaves, two deer, and run through a flock of turkeys. She’s pretty spirited.

After breakfast it’s a rousing game of birdy tug o’ war, and a blissfully quiet nap. I’m heading out to meet a friend for breakfast so I will leave you with a few images of our mornings. Have a great day!

Oh to be a dog

Sometime around 2 a.m. this morning I started feeling a fluttering sensation toward my lower back. I had an acupuncture treatment earlier in the evening, and thought maybe I was having some sort of residual effect of that, until I looked behind me and realized my dog was wagging her tail in her sleep.
